Calamatta Cuschieri Moneybase Group, a leading diversified financial services group that founded the Maltese financial services industry in 1971. We currently employ 200 people spread across 3 core business lines namely Fintech, Investment services and Fund administration.

As a Trader, you will be responsible for the efficient execution and processing of client orders, trade allocation, and compliance monitoring while handling internal and external trading operations. You will act as a key liaison between the Trade Desk and other teams, including Investment Advisors and Client Support, ensuring seamless communication and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute and process stock and fund trades accurately and efficiently.

  • Act as a subject matter expert and point of reference for Trade Desk Administrators and fellow Traders on technical matters.

  • Handle client bond orders and ensure effective order execution.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients.

  • Address and resolve both internal and external client queries promptly.

  • Perform instrument creation and validation to ensure accuracy in trading systems.

  • Identify and resolve anomalies in internal exception reports on the same day.

  • Troubleshoot and escalate issues related to Moneybase orders.

  • Produce daily media news articles and market commentary.

  • Maintain investment distribution lists and default bond news updates.

  • Reconcile MSE working orders and earmarked securities.

  • Process securities transfer requests efficiently.

  • Manage and execute the Shareholder Services Program.

  • Administer IPOs and related registrar services.

  • Ensure timely completion of compliance and regulatory reporting requirements.

Job requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Management, or Mathematics.

  • Minimum of one year of experience in the investment industry, demonstrating a solid understanding of financial markets and trading processes

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

  • High level of initiative, self-motivation, and ability to work independently.

  • Effective team player with a proactive and professional communication style.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.

  • Experience using trading platforms is highly advantageous.
