As we continue to grow sustainably, a new position has arisen for a Technical Product Manager reporting directly to the CTO.

Summary of Position:

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager for our Banking and Business Team with a solid experience in facilitating the development of enterprise applications and experience with leading teams. This position forms part of an agile development team, building and working on enterprise-grade software systems on top of the Microsoft .NET development stack. The Product Manager will provide technical and team leadership to our Banking and Business team members. Attention to detail, structure and quality as well as mentorship are important aspects of this role.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the on-time and quality delivery of software projects

  • Own the product roadmap

  • Decide and act upon any urgent issues

  • Conduct team appraisals, identifying training needs, motivating and performance managing the team in collaboration with the Team Lead

  • Review and report project progress following each sprint

  • Implement mechanisms to monitor, manage and provide progress on all software development activities within the team Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritized product backlog for the team

  • Support in understanding and facilitating transition from business specifications to tasks and development work for team members

  • Work with UX/UI designers to design an effective user experience

  • Perform high level UAT to verify that the solution is in line with the vision

  • Collaborate closely with other teams to understand the requirements and propose solutions that meet such requirements to ensure delivery against agreed priorities

  • Ensure effective internal communications both within the respective team and across other teams

  • Work with stakeholders to analyse the needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals

  • Assess value, develops cases, and prioritise stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with a maximum value that are aligned with product strategy

  • Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally and as the primary contact for queries related to the product

  • Liaise with Customer Support team in a proactive manner to avoid or minimise customer impact

  • Proactively drive innovation with new ideas and options made available by new technologies

  • Ensure that software development and other related processes are adhered to

Job requirements

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in software engineering

  • Must have technical and business knowledge of retail and corporate banking systems.

  • Strong understanding of the Agile/SCRUM software development cycle

  • Demonstrable and substantial experience in leading and managing teams of software developers

  • A background in software development would be considered an asset

  • Analytical and inquisitive, with excellent attention to detail
