Accounts Clerk

Calamatta Cuschieri Moneybase PLC is a leading diversified financial services group that was founded in the Maltese financial services industry in 1971. We currently employ 200 people spread across 3 core business lines namely Investment Services, Payment Services, and Fund administration services. 

The selected person is expected to be detail-oriented, have strong problem-solving skills, work comfortably under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines.

To ensure success, the Accounts Clerk should be a critical thinker and have a solid understanding of account and financial reporting principles and practices. The person should also have the ability to work on their own initiative and  work as part of a team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Perform day-to-day duties to the Accounts department.

- Post invoices in the sales, purchase, and nominal ledger.

- Process requests for payment and prepare local and foreign payments.

- Issue customer invoices and ensure timely collection of payments; follow up on outstanding invoices.

- Perform banking transactions and reconciliations.

- Assist colleagues and superiors as required to ensure that end-of-month deadlines are met and that payments are issued by the stipulated deadlines

- Accurately enter and maintain financial records in accounting systems.

- Assist in year-end audit requests.

- Provide general administrative support to the Finance team.
