Currently looking for a  Reconciliations Officer to join our Operations Team. This role is an entry level role and will be responsible for the day-to-day processes and settlement of the financial transactions made at Calamatta Cuschieri, also providing support to client-servicing teams such as Investment Advisors and Call Centre Support.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

    Reconciliations

    • Reconciliation of all client holdings
    • Reconciliation of all cash accounts at banks, executing brokers and custodians
    • Reconciliation of all client designated bank accounts
    • Reconciliation of non-cash control accounts

    Payments and Settlements

    • Processing of incoming banking within 3 hours of receipt at our bank
    • Investigations of all incoming banking payments received without clear identification. Suspect transactions are to be brought to the attention of compliance
    • Invoicing of all MSE and Funds contracts on same day of receipt. All UBS and CCFS contracts are to be invoiced and settled on same day of receipt.
    • All incoming/outgoing/internal transfers processed same day of receipt
    • Same day resolution of end of day file issues and manual trade issues

    Distributions and corporate actions

    • Same day processing of all distributions received
    • Same day processing of client/advisor communications and notifications
    • Elevating non-receipt of expected payments within a 3 day delay by communicating directly with the affected counterparty for immediate resolution.
    • Resolving distribution and withholding tax discrepancies by communicating directly with the affected counterparty for immediate resolution, identifying cause of issue, as well as implementing new internal processes with the team as required to address future repetition.
    • Communicate, record and process all corporate actions.

Requirements

Experience & Education Requirements

    • MQF level 5 of education
    • Hold a Minimum A-Level in Accountancy
    • Ideally holds previous experience within a similar role/ environment.
