We currently employ 200 people spread across 3 core business lines namely Investment Services, Payment Services, and Fund administration services. The Junior Finance Officer is an integral part of the Operations Team which ensures that all business related to pension and other investment products, as well as payment services is administered in an efficient, controlled, risk-free and timely manner. The officer will be responsible for the data inputting of personal and trade related entrees, data validation, as well as reconciliation and monitoring of incoming payments within the stipulated time frame such that the internal accounting system reflects correct transactions. In their day-to-day role, the officer will provide support to client-servicing teams to resolve queries in a timely manner.
This position is an entry level position and offers an exciting opportunity for the right candidate in a fast-growing company.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Data inputting related to new account applications
- Frequent data validation of all account related entrees
- Prepare various daily/weekly/monthly reports, related to client account funds and balances.
- Assist client facing teams with any queries in a timely manner
- Ensure daily follow-up action for timely resolution of issues
- Process tasks in line with Standard Operations Procedures and suggest improvements to daily processing
Requirements
Experience & Education Requirements
- Holds an ordinary level of education in Maths or Accounts.
- Applicants from non-related disciplines will not be at a disadvantage, but they will need to show an understanding of, and a keen interest in our business.
Skills Requirements
- Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
- Good communication skills
- Able to work well within a team
- Can-do attitude results orientated and proactive
- Attention to detail, plus excellent organizational and time management skills
- Competent using MS Office, in particular, Excel and Outlook
